here i'm back at home after watching " the odyssey" presented by the english drama club.
well what are my comments then?? i have only got myself to blame for not knowing anything about the odyssey, causing ,myself to be quite lost throughout the whole performance. so i shall not comments anything on the storyline and content....
the whole play looks very professional, especially the lightings, props and costumes. their acting was indeed good and was able to capture my attention. the way they presented the whole play was basically quite different from ours. they have practically no props and their scene changes using only different lightings and costumes. this is one part that i like abt the play. overall, their play was more on the "abstract and meaningful" side while ours was more " simple-to-undestand and not much meaning" side. hahaha... but i can definitely see the efforts they have put in for the production. oh not forgetting to mention a girl in the play, dunno what's her name, but her singing was superb loh... sounded like those westerners, especially when she sings high notes... gosh... i really cannot imagine a young girl like her actually could sing like an adult. u will never believe that the fantastic singing was by her. a round of applause to her!!~~ anyway, also hope that the play can win sth at the SYF. its really not bad loh....
