All thanks to the ex-colleague-cum-buddy, Friday evening was not spent at home 落寞ing. Instead, im at Indoor Stadium for some FOC jumping and singing! My last concert was A-mei last year... haven been to concert for a long time liao....

I am not a big fan of Mayday, but the concert was very high and they sang all the way till 12.10am!!! Encore 3 times!!! Only pity is i only know half of the songs they sang hence, cant sing along much except their hits.... but for songs like 离开地球表面, all you need to do is to stand up, jump and wave your light sticks!! Hahaha!! Even the 2 aunties sitting infront of us stood up to move along like youngsters, pretty amusing. 五月天魅力真不凡啊！
Found the Long-time-no-see Ms Liao, who told me few days back she's going for the concert and was trying to buy lightsticks. And she generously 友情赞助 2 sticks each for me and the buddy. How can we ever go concerts without lightsticks?! The very fascinating collapsible gigantic globe which came down from above. And the globe/big egg produced different effects depending on the lightings and what was projected on it! The graphics design and overall effects were awesome!
I want more concerts please.

>> This is my 600th blog post - First week at new work
my big cup of cafe latte during dinner is keeping me wide awake now. and its 3am now.
It was a new start on Monday, new company, new colleagues, new environment, but not exactly new job scope.
Things have gone well for the first week and my colleagues eat and talk (i.e they are ISO certified human beings). Work station's much smaller now so my mushrooms and their buddies cant move together with me, shall choose some to deco only.
Training by my mentor was ok, though product knowledge can only be enhanced through experience and memory. I am still pretty lost about the organisation of the company and how each division/group functions as a whole. Training was slightly ahead of schedule and hence I have answered my very first call this morning!
做回老本行的感觉真的很奇妙，即熟悉，又陌生。熟悉，是因为 "Good morning, XXX, ziyun speaking, how can I help?" was once a greeting that was repeated thousand odd times, something that comes out so naturally from me. 陌生，却是因为听到问题后我脑子一片空白。cant recall where to find the info in my file, cant remember the schemes that was just taught yesterday, and cant remember what questions I could ask back the caller. However, holding techniques, standard closing, call etiquettes.... i guess the skills had been embedded in one corner of my biological hard disk for the past year and one inbound call simply woke them all up for immediate action!
Work style over here (not sure about company-wide practises) is vastly different. No ridiculously long emails so far (at least from what I have seen) and people dun talk in robotic languages and numbered paragraphs. Efficiency is all its required in call centre environment afterall. The public is never tolerant of delays and email ding-dongings. Neither would they appreciate you telling them its only for their info, please.
ok, thats all i have to say.... still rmb few hours ago, someone said something like "Do you know you have been 滔滔不绝 toking abt your job for the past 15min, without stopping and breathing? you sure you can still breathe hor... i can feel you are enthu now..."
well, when did i last shared about my job?

LK meets up for food and birthday again. We are all officially 23 now.
Horrible.
Buffet lunch's at Sheraton Towers. Food was ok, nothing fantastic but not too bad either.
LK in full force! The top 3 photos are inspired by reflections. FOC thrill again. Next stop: Settlers Cafe @ SMU. We had the biggest fun playing jenga and the "indian poker".We all look like happy kids over here. 我们还能扮青春多久啊！ The as-usual-very-hungry ah pei and Most valued-jumper. 3rd day of slacking. My god, how come work days never seemed to pass so fast?!
Zee has ended her one-year-two-months service as the manyzer. it has shocked many ppl... for im always happy and cheerful in office.
the one-year-two-month was way shorter den she had expected. infact, its her shortest "proper" job so far. I dun miss the work. especially all the training capacities and the board stuff.
I shall now make it a habit to note down the things which are part of my pleasant memories. i hope i dun have to do this again in the near future!! i still remember the last time i did this was for the legal money collector.
I miss...
my patata (new classy spanish name for potato) more den anyone else there. im sure she does too. i hope you get out of the shithole and find yourself a new habitat ASAP. the carrot's here praying for you. i miss our nonsensical and violent winpop chats. I cant kick you to mumbai or slap you left and right anymore. neither can you throw me into the blender with chilli crabs.
walking to the office from the mrt station every morning. like wat i described, every morning, people are like a flowing river, water flows out from the mrt gate and go to different exits..... everyone walks past the 7-11 and mitju and walks in the same direction with similar pace..... den i turn to the left to go OMB and ORQ, den i flow down the escalator, walk past another 7-11 and den i turn left to OMB. den wang cafe appears. occasionally i would grab a cup from the either wang cafe or the atas spinelli at the other ORQ side. i would remind myself to get off the train one stop earlier on 17 aug.
my work station, for the fact its spacious enough to accomodate all my mushrooms and soft creatures. and also the fact i get to enjoy the marina bay scenery everyday. only pity is i dun get to see the IR's opening. that would have been spectacular. i also miss my HERMAN MILLER chair. nothing's as comfy as this one so far.
lunches at raffles place. even though i haven really lunched at every possible location here. i have found my many fave food here, from yong tau foo, beef hor fun, malay rice, to mr teh tarik and mango desserts. i also miss my random lunch kakis, like my ORQ-lunch-kaki-ping, Sam and PQR.... im sorry i have to leave my duty as the OMB rep for now, but it has been a wonderful year of lunches and mr tea tariks....
summarising my one year of work, one sentence is enough:
PEOPLE are always more important than the work.
I have now moved on another pasture, one that isnt any much greener, but i hope it would be one that i can last.
