wah so many days never blog liao... like hun2 shen1 uncomfortable.... haha.
ok not much to talk abt today. morning went to sch for math extra lesson. at least i sat down properly for 2 hours to do maths... which is a good news lah. den went to toa payoh to meet dajie, huiping and kenneth for lunch becoz we were going to watch performance at 3pm.
well wat we watched today was a forum theatre... in case u dunno wat it is... its an "empowering, engaging form of theatre with an aim to change the spectator from a passive observer to an active participant. the audience offers suggestions, solutions and alternatives with the hope of changing the destiny of the protagonist/s." in short, it meant that we could give comments on how the story can end wonderfully and even replace the main actors with an audience. its was indeed a refreshing/exciting experience as i never knew that we could actually want the story to proceed the way we want.
the title of the show was
mixed blessings, presented by the necessary stage. last time i also went to watch their
oh!man.
mixed blessings "deals with weighty issues such as race. religion, culture and tradition." it is about the story about rajesh, an indian guy and lucy, a chinese girl. they loved each others deeply and yet they faced strong opposition from their parents. the story did not provide the audience with the ending. the director wanted us to decide their fate, and think how they can persuade their parents to accept their relationship. eh... eventually i think we did not really provide a workable solution, which was a pity. but anyway, i did not give any comments nor did i went up to act or wat lah... too shy liao lah... and i also did not have fantastic suggestions loh... all in all, great experience.... so i recommend all of u to watch it if possible... its really interactive and u will also realise that u are very much closer to the actors and directors. they are just right in front of you... they can look at your expressions, smile at you, and u can do the same too.
tmr i will be going to school to study maths with yihui, sharon, liting and yong an.... lets hope it will be a fruitful one....
