ok first of all, my comments on TJC's chinese drama performance(lu yuan zhi ye)
yesterday. on the whole, not bad lah... i dunno how to compare or wat, coz i never watch huang cheng and i cannot compare with our own bai yun gang right?? the name(or theme?) of this year was wo shi ji jiang dao lai de ri zi, which is sth like i am the day to come....
the 1st play was about a jc girl and.... haiyar dunno how to conclude the story. story revolving around jc/teenager lives. not exactly very entertaining lah, but at least i can roughly see the theme behind it. some of the things mentioned are quite true also lah. there's this guy in the play who is a sissy lah, i can see that he's trying his best to be funny yet natural, but perhaps due to the fact that i have seen yong an's "sissyness" and "hiaoness", i dun really find him that funny lah. but everyone in the auditorium was laughing(so i wonder if its only me and hui ping who are freaks). i was also telling hui ping, "wa everyone also like to have a sissy in their play is it?"haha.... maybe becoz they make ppl laugh.... the lightings for this play was quite poor, in the sense that for some parts of the play, i cannot see their face at all, and thus how i know their expression?? im sure some ppl will agree with me that lightings for this play should improve.
ok next one is about a jc girl who got pregnant. its the same one as what they had for xiao pin competition, so not much surprise. but the girl's acting damn good. den the aunties also very funny....
last one is call christmas eve. also dunno how to conclude storyline. the best thing i like about this play is their back drop. its a drawing of moon and stars. very big and simply beautiful... deserve 4 out of 5 stars from me... it definitely took them a long time to paint i think. as for the story, honestly speaking, some parts of it were abit boring, maybe too little actions lah. den ppl like me like plays to have jokes here and there... the elf looks quite cute hehe. ok lah, i dunno how to appreciate the last one... coz for some parts of the play, i dun understand why muz have this and that... maybe i too shallow to understand liao.... oh but the sound for this one is good. i like it...the transitions are smooth enough.
overall, still worth my ticket of coz, as i always learn sth from every play i watch. one good part of the play is that they dun need to change thier scene alot, thus audience will not lose their patience. unlike ours, ppl commented that we took too long to change our scene, and as a result ppl were sian liao... another thing is that since their stage is quite shallow, thus they have less chance of going too deep inside till the audience cannot see them. at least from my angle(which is very good lah), all the actors seem to be very close to me. due to the design of their auditorium, ppl are closer to the stage, but chairs are also abit too steep liao. the way that they end the whole thing is quite fun lah. i think we can learn from them. we must all have a cheer or action when actors or backstage ppl run out. hey we got our club song, a pity they dun have. or not it would be much better. in conclusion, eh... let me see...worthwhile to watch. if next year anyone ask me to watch again, i will consider.
ok i think thats about it...(as i watched the whole thing... all my memories of bai yun gang are coming back again...)
