tmr was supposed to be a good day, cos i REALLY wanted to go my psycho lect de. but due to some unforseen circumstances, i really cant go and yeah so sian.
anyway, on a lighter note again. haven been talking much about my work nowadays cos nth much can surprise me liao, and i work so little anyway. but a call today just made my day such a happy one. and i do wish every husband was as sweet at him, really.
was calling this back this tp whom sam told me to give a callback as he wanted to ask on some payment stuff. (apparently, the sups usually like to ask me to return call to these ppl cos they say i should be able to answer their questions more readily and correctly. forever give me this kind of KANG TAO de loh... luckily today's was a real nice one.) i was asking him wat help e needed etc and he was commenting that he felt that our service was still "BAND 1"
(he related this to children scoring Band 1 in exams, which was quite interesting. he was satisfied with our service probably becos we were able to return his call within 1 hour when he told the dept that we was leaving s'pore in 2 hours time. i should say HE IS SO DAMN LUCKY. usually call back takes at least dunno how many days haha) even though his call was cut off 2 consecutive times. den he was giving some suggestions about how we should tax those ppl retiring soon and telling me that his wife, an australian used to have different tax system there.
den he was saying we should actually give more wife relief to recognise their roles in the family. i think he said sth like this," my wife takes care of the children 365 days, no holidays and leave and cannot rest even when they are sick.and they got no pay, i mean im the one giving her the bonus though *he laughed*, its really not easy. if it was me, i would not be able to do it i think. and raising kids really cost alot now, so maybe u all should consider increasing the child relief to $3000, that would make things more reasonable... "den he went on telling me some other suggestions.
the thing that really touched me was the part about his wife and kids. u could sense that he definitely loved his family alot and was someone who was reasonable, understanding and nice (he was really nice throughout the conversation). he called in not to actually defer payment or wat. instead he actually wanted to pay more now so that he could spread his payment better later. if only everyone was good tps like him.
i have got other callers whom u can feel that they love their family. according to my experience, instead of telling me "my son/daughter's name is..." they would say sth like "oh i've got a boy and a girl. my boy's name is... and my girl is called..." the way they phrase it sounds nice/heart-warming enough.
so my advice: if u are nice to the other party right from the start. the service u get will be a "BAND 1" one. haha.
