" POTONG PASIR CHIAM SEE TONG ! "" POTONG PASIR CHIAM SEE TONG ! "" POTONG PASIR CHIAM SEE TONG ! "that was wat i heard out of my windows last night, together with deafening cheers, whistles, clapping, flashlights and carhorns. ppl who dun live here will never know how it is like to be surrounded by really passionate residents who treat mr chaim like their idol! potong pasir is prob the nosiest last night for the past 5 years!
haha ppl do mature sia. in the last election, i wasnt too interested in the elections, as if it didt really concern me much (though i still sat at the tv to know the results). but this year even though im not a voter, i had completely become part of the potong pasir ppl who are forever passionate abt the elections! the best part was when they announced chaim was the candidate elected... all the blocks were shouting and cheering like dunno what, until i couldnt even hear myself talking when i was standing by the windows. this is my 1st first time seeing such a scene here! everyone's standing by the windows cheering... and when chaim came around to thank the ppl later, oh my god i tell u, the situation was like crazy fans seeing their idols loh. many ppl went downstairs to wait for him. and when he arrived, i was part of the residents who cheered for him as well!!!! wooh!! (i was trying to join in the fun more den i really love him that much. cos i didnt vote wat). just ytd the "other party" came with another "super TALL/BIG shot" to gain support and help the candidate. the reaction was much more cold... nonetheless i muz say im rather neutral abt chaim and sitoh. to me i can see that both put in the same amt of efforts for the past few years. so doesnt really matter who wins... but having a good opposition like mr chiam is still good for the country! this is the last time he's gg to do his part for us anyway (i think he should really retire after this lah...)
yah for this election, i dare to say i have been catching up with the reports everyday (except the Gomez incident cos its so boliao to keep harping on it! so meaningless...) in particular the opp stuff lah... rather interesting to see wat they got to say everyday... if i were in aljunied i will also vote for the wp cos they got sylvia lim whom i think is a real good opposition worth waiting for. and yes she said
THEY WILL BE BACK! and the wp actually got more den 40% of votes i this GRC, goes to show the hougang effect really spreads and that wp has really won trust in many ppl. my hope is to have the opposition gain a GRC. that will be good enough liao...
im still so ecstatic abt last night. dunno if chiam is coming around later again to thank the voters. i wanna wave to him again!
