>> Part 8: we have come to end~

this is the last entry liao, and i dun want it to end at all can?! but everything must come to an end de... but there's going to be more i wanna talk about... cos essay also must have conclusion de mah...

presenting the tw trip Part 8 aka the end: confucius temple/ Dream Mall/ Love River/ KTV/ Home sweet home.

after a night on the train, we reached gao siong kinda too early, around 6am only. and the hotel didnt/couldnt let us check in early. so we had to leave our luggage with them, borrowed their toilet for refreshing teeth-brushing and face-washing and off we had to set go (even though we really wanted to have a good night sleep and shower).

our last local breakfast: egg pancake aka Dan4 Bing3! i will miss this man~ esp the pork floss one...
after breakfast, we SIMPLY had to idea where to go cos we didnt plan ant itinerary and it was far too early as all shops and malls wre not opened yet. 在好心的早餐店阿姨的介绍下,我们决定到西子湾走走。本以为又会看得到蓝天大海,结果是粒沙也没见着。this is becos the so-called beach or 海水浴场 was open only at 10am, and we were there at 9.15am. however the better part was that we walked and walked and walked through the tunnel and realised we were at zhongshan university liao (the beach was just beside the uni). we actually chanced upon a quite well know uni (at least i heard it on TV lah) JUST like that.

we tried to ask if there's a way to see the beach FOC, but seems like there wasnt, so we just had to cancel this location and go for the confucius temple, which ah ping thought was very ah song but i felt it was OK 的啦~

this is the tunnel that led us to zhong shan and NOTHING else after tt... damn sad de.
this is the uni... it wasnt too big from wat we see, but prob becos this is only part of the campus.
we got on a cab and met a super 热情好客 cabbie who initially wanted to bring us for a one day tour (cos of with extra charge). However we managed to 甩掉他 , but he did bring us to see this wall that stood for hundred odd years already... and had sth to do with the wars back then.
before we reached the confucius temple, we saw this dunno wat temple looking thing which i dun recall the name now. the cabbie kept encouraging us to get down for some pics while he waited for us, bu the super hot weather plus sweaty and smelly girls just decided to take a simple pic and go off. nvm next time if we are at gao siong again, we shall spend abit more time there...
here we are at the Kong Zi aka confucius Temple. we heard there was 2 confucius temple at gaosiong but the cabbie brought us to this one which claimed to be the biggest. we saw several different 殿 and 庙...
with nothing much in there except tables, chairs, tablets to show respect for confucius disciples...

the central parade area was relatively big and spacious...
this is the main area for offerings, with confucius' name on the tablet...

2 girls trying to act erm... scholarly?
these are the tablets for the disciples...
OK... referring to the picture below, WHY DO WE SAY THAT JOHNNY's NOT AROUND?
auntie/teacher Zee shall now explain to all of u.

This is becos Kong Zi's 名丘,字 "仲尼" 。thats why u can call him Mr Johnny Kong.... the girls were seriously so amused by my explanation that it almost became the main focus of the trip to the temple. anyway it was my pri sch teacher who told us this joke and till now, i still like to share with ppl if we happen to talk about abt confucius, but the girls are definitely the one who most supported this joke after all these years i shared with others. My dear girls, 我真是太爱你们了,只有你们最挺我!

thats why when we couldnt see a SINGLE drawing or picture of Kong Zi in the temple, this was wat we thought: WHERE IS JOHNNY!!!??? we came up with 2 main reasons why johnny didnt appear in pictoral form aka 露脸:
1. the weather was too hot and sunny, johnny, like us also couldnt take it, so he decided to take a take a break at somewhere cool and dark, thats why we couldnt see him.
2. since there was 2 confucius temple in gao siong, there was no way he could split himself right? thats why the day when we visited him, he was on shift duty at the other temple, and couldnt be back in time to meet us. quite wasted right? but we have forgiven him in the end... cos i hope he doesnt make me flunk my papers again this sem...

so after the sad mission to find confucius's drawing failed, we decided to take a rest under the trees. there was practically no shelter at the temple and we were feeling VERY VERY sticky and sweaty and disgusting until we didnt wanna go anywhere anymore.

here's ah ping and her different shades on her leg of the sun and her birks...
LEFT hand side: the sticky-but-still-can smile ppl. RIGHT hand side: the-sian-diao-ppl.
ok we cant take it anymore also liao~~~ got no strength to open umbrella.
the 2 girls really look pathetic under the HOT sun....
ms phua cooling herself using wet tissue....
after the terrible torture of exploring around without bathing for 2 days, we marched back to the hotel at 11+ for early check-in, took our bath and all of us slept like a log until late afternoon, before we went out again refreshed and energetic to the new shopping mall, Dream Mall. the hotel at gao siong was a very lousy one (though reasonable for its very low pricing lah) and the TV there is damn interesting de... Channel 14!! (ok private joke)
we came across this special shop that mainly sells Hip Hop fashion and accessories. the caps there are so freaking pretty loh, but all very ex though... i regretted not getting one home...

there are plenty of places to let u take glam glam pictures...

and many chairs for u to sit and shoot for all u want...

the shoe display racks willmove from left to right automatically de... damn cool loh~
after this we went to Daiso and i was forced put on this straw hat for a pose...

hey hey~~ wat is qr doing inside the gigantic phone?
ah hah! group pic successful!
next place was the Love River. nothing much abt the river, its like sth like a bigger version of singapore river only...

after that shopping spree at carrefour. i bought the most instant noodles... and all are them are super nice and special!! they are already finishing liao~~~ when can i eat my nice nice miso instant noodles again?
last highlight of the trip: KTV session at partyworld again! our room was almost twice of the one we had in taipei and we were given 4 mic (2 wireless) for 5 ppl!
still got nice side dishes to eat...

wat we love most: the disco lightings. and we didnt notice there was such great effects until we sang one of elva's fast track and the lights started suddenly, and scared our poor qr...
Last Day: Departure

im still very apologetic abt the whole thing till now actually. we were supposed to take the 7.18am train to taipei, and we even reached the station before 7am. however i failed to double check the ticket for the train type and i assumed it was not this one right in front of us, since it was still early. i thought after this one leaves, another one will arrive. and so we waited and waited until 7.16am, when another monk who suddenly asked if this was the ziqiang train, den it struck me suddenly that this train might be the right one... (and we are left with less den 2 min to board the train now). after i dashed up the train wanting to ask if the train goes to taipei, i heard a bell ringing,a nd i got the feeling that this train was leaving any time. and so i rushed down before the door closed straight after i got down.

by now its rather clear we have missed the train, but becos we are late, but becos of my ignorance and stubbornness, insisted that this was not the right train. luckily after finding out the train schedule from the station, the next one was just at 7.56am. so we boarded this train, however there was no allocated seats for us liao, so it just means we had to seat anywhere that was empty now, but could be occupied by the next station. i dun wanna elaborate on all the details of wat went went through to reach taipei. 我们自己知道就好了. im really really sorry girls, to let u all suffer cos of my stupid mistake. 我不会再这样固执己见了.even though u all dun say anything, i still rmb wat gek told me "真的不是你的错,要错我们全部都有错".even qr also accompanied me all the way up to ask the station ppl. 我到现在还是超内疚,而且真的很抱歉...真的很对不起~at that moment, im suddenly so glad i have u gals have my trip mates, the only ppl who wont blame me for wat i have done... i love ya ppl~~

we reached taipei abt 1pm, and after some rotting around at the taipei main station, me ping and jie went off to the airport first cos gek and qr needed to buy some stuff for themselves. and this is me with my luggage and bag and jie's bag also... we are really leaving liao... damn sad lah...
last group pic at the check in place before we say bye to taiwan!!!a view of the 3 of us' luggage. the big big ah song bag on the right was solution for pejie and the others to stuff their things in there cos we ran out of space...
last look at our ultra-cramped and uncomfortable plane...
and 4 .5 hours later..............8 days 7 days nights of taipei and gao siong trip has ended before i even know it. 只需一星期,我们大家都了解什么是体谅,更学习到原来出国这回事还真是找好朋友去最好玩也最尽兴.in this 1 week, im sure u all will agree that we have come to understand each other's character much better, for e.g, see wat is the real side of us when we wake up and before we sleep... now we even know who are the late/light/heavy sleepers and our funny “patterns” that was never shown. because of everyone, i have come to enjoyed every bit of the trip, no matter its the lame jokes, the scenery, the activities and even the flops and unexpected and guilty bits. becos of the trip, i finally got to eat the food i saw on the tawainese programmes, go to the places that are often mentioned, like xi men ding... and managed to 吸收台北的日月精华 with ping!even though im dead tired when im finally back on my bed at home, i would rather be busy and worn out for just another 1 more week! just give me abit more time to go more places and eat more yummy food... being on a free and easy trip gives us the chance to do things at your own pace, change things as and when u like, most imptly its gave us the chance to see so many stars! i still cant believe we were in the yu le bai fen bai studio and saw He jun xiang LIVE haha...

to me, i think we have gotten the best of everything in this trip, and those fond memories of the trip will stay with me forever! we the tw clique shall gather again next year for another crazy trip, and we will make sure ni and ewe tags along to join in the fun!

Here, i declare i have finished my feature on the Ultimate TW trip in 8 parts! its time to start the semester again and 大家加油吧~
