my big cup of cafe latte during dinner is keeping me wide awake now. and its 3am now.
It was a new start on Monday, new company, new colleagues, new environment, but not exactly new job scope.
Things have gone well for the first week and my colleagues eat and talk (i.e they are ISO certified human beings). Work station's much smaller now so my mushrooms and their buddies cant move together with me, shall choose some to deco only.
Training by my mentor was ok, though product knowledge can only be enhanced through experience and memory. I am still pretty lost about the organisation of the company and how each division/group functions as a whole. Training was slightly ahead of schedule and hence I have answered my very first call this morning!
做回老本行的感觉真的很奇妙，即熟悉，又陌生。熟悉，是因为 "Good morning, XXX, ziyun speaking, how can I help?" was once a greeting that was repeated thousand odd times, something that comes out so naturally from me. 陌生，却是因为听到问题后我脑子一片空白。cant recall where to find the info in my file, cant remember the schemes that was just taught yesterday, and cant remember what questions I could ask back the caller. However, holding techniques, standard closing, call etiquettes.... i guess the skills had been embedded in one corner of my biological hard disk for the past year and one inbound call simply woke them all up for immediate action!
Work style over here (not sure about company-wide practises) is vastly different. No ridiculously long emails so far (at least from what I have seen) and people dun talk in robotic languages and numbered paragraphs. Efficiency is all its required in call centre environment afterall. The public is never tolerant of delays and email ding-dongings. Neither would they appreciate you telling them its only for their info,
please.
ok, thats all i have to say.... still rmb few hours ago, someone said something like "Do you know you have been 滔滔不绝 toking abt your job for the past 15min, without stopping and breathing? you sure you can still breathe hor... i can feel you are enthu now..."
well, when did i last shared about my job?
I couldnt remember already....
