>> Peramakan time!
Friday night dinner was at at super ulu place called
Peramakan, at Keppel Club.
The food's great (and reasonably priced), but the venue is horrible. Total horrible for people who dun drive.
My point in blogging the dinner was, while we were on our way to the main road after the dinner (the walk from the restaurant to the main road is a whole 15-20min along a winding and dark road with no proper walkway, they seriously just dowan visitors without cars loh!), there was this MPV which was initially behind us and we intended to give way to the car. But the car suddenly stopped infront of us. And guess wat?
The driver offered to send the 5 of us to the main road!! We were super shocked cos its totally unexpected you see. HAVING GROWN UP IN SINGAPORE FOR 23 YEARS, I have never hitched a ride and never met a total stranger who offered to send us (5 people who took all the remaining seats) out in his car. Once we got on his car, he even offered to send us all the way to Harbourfront MRT station!!!
Where to find such nice people you tell me!! The only reason we concluded that he's nice is cos....
He's a
Korean!!! If not for him, I am sure the 5 of us would have to walk to the main road all by ourselves....
Isnt it sad? The first time we all are offered a ride, and yet the person is actually not a Singaporean. Haiz....
