>> LK 金刚合体曼谷游 Part 3 - 美食篇
While i am waiting for kel to knock off.... i have decided to put my time to good use by blogging here in Starbucks @ Tampines Mall.
Here comes final part!!!
When it comes to food, it is always LK's
mission and
vision to hunt the Good Food in town, no matter its by bus or by foot (it rhymes!). This time we finally ventured out of the little red dot in search of authentic and yummy cuisine!
First Stop - Cabbages and CondomsThe restaurent concept is on educating people on contraception and stuff... but putting all that aside (i dun care about concepts, i care solely about yummy-ness), the food here is really pretty delicious, especially the crabs and tom yam, very 下饭!And they give u a real condom after your meal. Talking about this condom, I remebered i put into my bag after dinner but somehow it was gone after my mum emptied my bag for my sis. I dunno if one fine day she might flash it infront of me and asked me why i have it!!

we had crabs, prawns (so-so only), mango salad, chicken and vegetables...

Restaurant's deco with lights outside!!

Next one - MK restaurant @ MBKthis one's steamboat. Nothing fantasic or special given LK's high standard of steamboat (benchmark - Jin's Deli). The only special thing is, the waiters here would dance every hour!! Super random and funny.
200-baht-feed-6-mouths - Chatuchak marketthe cheapest meal we had,
200 baht for all 6 of us, and they served the best phad thai out of all we ate in 5 days!

Khao SanThe insects looked crispy, but not delicious to us.... had dinner in random restaurant in Khao San, nothing too special either....

Lunch @ Wat Pho/Grand PalaceAfter taking the river cruise, we happened to chance upon this very cosy restaurant. Food was of good standards, especially the milk tea! The satisfying lunch gave us all the energy we need to walk to Grand Palace which was much much further den we had thought....

Finale - Somboon Seafood @ SurawongThis has got to be the best meal we had, and its practically the highlight of our trip! This restaurant is widely mentioned in several travel guides and so despite all odds against scheming taxi-drivers (who attempted to send us to the imitation
Somboondee), we made it to the authentic Somboon Seafood restaurant near Patpong and Surawong.
It kinda reminds me of Jumbo and Long Beach, those big seafood restaurants you know... the restaurant has 3 storeys!

The signature curry crab did not disappoint, so were the fish, prawn tung hoon, and vegetables. The chilli crab was so-so, cos it tasted more like 豆瓣酱 crabs more den chilli crabs...

Service was excellent, and all the waiters seem to be very attracted to us, cos they were mostly standing behind us and staring at us finish the whole table of food.... But eventually we found out, 人家其实是在看咱们家刘大美女啦 !
I wanna eat some more next time we go!
