>> Kukup Get-away
Haven posted any pictures for a long time... finally got some events to update everyone le...
Weekend was spent at Kukup with family and aunt's church frens. The place is basically a village, and people build and expand their own homes on water to rent them out as holiday chalets. So it pretty much works like 民宿，where the home owners actually cooked for us and arranged for tour to kelong etc... I guess the only special part about Kukup is that every chalet you rent is different (since its built by the residents), and you feel very homely in the chalet, though the residents/owners stay somewhere nearby i think.
This is where we stayed
The female owner was warm and friendly, and she was such a fantastic cook and all the dishes were simple but fabulous!!!!!! Especially the home-made prawn crackers, very unforgettable :D She would keep asking us if the dishes were enough, and when we told her the crackers were delicious, she fried more for us immediately. By the way all these comes with no extra cost cos the amount we paid includes 4 meals, but you can asked her for bigger portion of the dishes if its too yummy. 主人家热情，而且很有人情味, really a very nice experience....
And I concluded, 原来我家是天生爱唱歌的啦! We basically hogged the whole system for the whole night, singing from 邓丽君 to "车站". But other den singing and visiting a pathetic Kelong with no fishes, that's basically everything we did. Heard we used to be able to visit the mangrove area but its closed for now....
