27 years by Mr Chiam has come to an end.

I'm now in great real danger of being re-drawn into bishan-toa payoh. Very horrifying for me, cos I have lived all my 25 years of life here, where I have always been told by my parents that we are in opposition area, n only under Mr Chiam. He's like the hero MP ruling this place since many many many years ago... (long before I even came to this world)
I don't wanna fall into the hands of Bishan-Toa Payoh. Cos I dowan my market n carpark n shops to look like every other one out there. I dowan hdb upgrades, new painting works, new gardens. 我要的就是这里与众不同，怀旧又特别的环境。I just want my place to remain like a SLUM. a happy one that is.
Looking at the huge support for Mr and Mrs Chiam earlier, I know this is what we call as 革命情感。那种一起奋斗过，抵抗强权的多年感情。这里的人是确确实实爱戴詹时中，也陪着他努力，不离不弃一起受委屈近30年。不是potong pasir 的人，是永远无法体会的。
Thank you Mr Chiam for all you have done for us these years. You have earned all our respect and you will always be remembered as the father of potong pasir!!
